Brief History |

|
• The history of Angoalissar is intimately linked to the history of Angola from
the years 1990s.
• Angoalissar was of the very first private companies after the 90’s set to freely
trade and import.
• In April 1992, we started our activities in Luanda, with one warehouse called
“SOREL” in Boavista near the port of Luanda.
• At the time, the activities consisted on importing and selling several types of
products: second hand clothes, soft drinks, & some Chinese items such glassware
etc…
• At the time, Angoalissar employed less than 20 people.
• In 1993, Angoalissar acquired 5 other warehouses in the same
area of Boavista; armazens 13, 15, 17, 18 and 19.
• The same year, in view of future diversification of activities, the company invested in manufactoring of mattresses, plastic bags
and PVC pipes.
• The need of structured organisation became a must and the company moved yo its first office at
Marginal, close to the Hotel President Meridien.
• From 1994, the expansion programme took a step further, not only in Luanda, but
also in other Provinces.
• In Luanda,
we more points of sales where in prespective. location as Terra Nova,asa branca
, muleba where operational to rbing US closed to the markets & its consumers.
• New departments came in place as the company was being build to reach international
standards and satisfy the local market.
• In the Provinces/ Branches, the intuition of business leaded the promoters to cast anchor
in Lobito, the main city of Benguela Province, with the biggest port in Angola and one of most important southern African countries.
• Angoalissar kept its mission and decided to extend its activities
to Namibe and Lubango (Huila province).
• Over the period 2000-2004, they were many changes in the Angolan market including
the opening of supermarket chains and catering companies. Thus angoalissar started
its own delivery network to serve a considerable amount of clients including bakeries,
pastries, supermarkets, restaurants and hotels.
• By 2004 the company had expanded its points of sales in new further provinces
further hinterland including Huambo, Cabinda and very recently
Malange.

Today, the company is present Nationwide,
either through its own branches or trough exclusive
agents.
Today Angoalissar employs 1200 Employees out of them 40 expatriates.
